'When truth and falsehood become so hard to disaggregate, many voters will decide to believe nothing. Politics becomes reduced to a partisan battle in which anything goes.'

I wanted to like this more than I did. Raised very good issues with British and beyonds corruption, terrible political systems and more, but it just seemed to drag on and on. Best chapter by a long way was the newest addition looking at Covid and the British governments obviously corrupt handing out of contracts. Good enough read if you can stick through, just feels a bit dry in some places, but I guess that’s just politics!

Absolutely essential reading. Read it! And then ask yourself: what can I do? And then do it.

I knew a great number of the dots, but when they are joined up the picture that is produced is utterly terrifying. Everyone ought to read this, but few will and by the time they wake up how much damage will have been done.
