Iruma Suzuki finds himself in a bit of a pickle when his parents sell his soul! So he goes to the demon world and is immediately adopted by a grandfatherly demon who takes care of him but also is making him go to demon school. He can't be found out though or the demons might eat him! This first volume is full of hijinks and adventure and I can't wait to see what the next volumes hold!

**I received a pre-publication digital version of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, Kodansha!**

Honestly this struck the perfect balance of absurdity, wholesomeness, and humor. Looking forward to volume 2 and I might pick up the anime in the mean time.

[REVIEW IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH/ INGLÉS Y ESPAÑOL]

{ESPAÑOL}

{ENGLISH}
In perspective this first volume maybe deserves a lower rating, but I come from the anime (and I'm reading this to catch up with the manga) and I absolutely love this story, so I give it 4 stars.

This first volume is absolutely introductory, the story is very simplistic (come on, you know, the plot it's quite not a marvel), but easy to read, the characters are quite stereotypical, but the fun is the humor with which it is written. As I'm up to date with the anime, I can say that Iruma-kun it's a very entertaining story, you get attached to the characters and it gets better with each arc, so, please, give this manga a chance, guaranteed laughs.

[Combined review of all the volumes]

This is the first manga that I've read, and I'm absolutely in love with it. I was hooked after watching just one episode of the anime.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun [english translation: Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun] is about 14 year-old Suzuki Iruma who was sold by his awful parents to the great demon, Sullivan. Sullivan adopts Iruma as his grandchild, and enrolls him in the demon school - Babyls, where Sullivan is the headmaster. The manga deals with Iruma's life in Babyls (whose school song is about killing and eating humans), while hiding the fact that he is a human from everyone.

It is a perfect shonen isekai manga, as it is incredibly hilarious, amazingly drawn, with a fantastic plot. All of the characters are very well thought-out, and the relationships between them are excellently portrayed. The antagonists are also despicable, which is another plus point.
