A very cute storyline, although the main character was a bit of a mess and not totally relatable for me. I liked the Chicago art world setting mixed with small-town Wisconsin.

Adorable. Harms needs to be more famous. She writes such fun, smart comfort reads!

Ugh. I’ve now read two books by this author, and I’ll never read anything else of hers. Trashy badly written chick lit in the worst sense of the word.
The only good thing about it as it was free I didn’t waste any money on it!

The Matchmakers of Minnow Bay was an enjoyable read. I loved the town of Minnow Bay that was described so well, but I had a hard time identifying with Lilly. I have no idea how someone could be that out of touch with the word around. I wanted to love this book, but I just couldn’t get completely immersed in Lilly’s unrealistic reality.

This book ended up being more chicklit and very light on romance, which was not was I expected. However, I did enjoy it and would recommend as a great light read.

At first the main character Lily drove me nuts and I thought I was going to be in for a long read. But then she kind of grew on me and instead of being whiny she became relatable. I’m still not sure how I feel about Ben I really think he could have been fleshed out more he felt just a smidge flat. Overall good cozy wish you lived there light romance with a good look at life, dreams and reality.

4.5 stars from me for this sweet romance. Lily is an artist who through a string of unfortunate events ends up in Minnow Bay, Wisconsin. For me this is where the story truly begins. Lily thinks she is only there for one night, but the residents of Minnow Bay seem to recognize Lily as a kindred spirit. They people she meets give Lily a different perspective on herself leading Lily to ask herself some tough questions about her past and her future. I enjoyed this story.

Maybe I wasn’t in the right mindset to read this book, but I had trouble connecting to the characters. It’s got a cute, Hallmark feel to it, but I felt like the storyline was a bit all over the place. The main character was also particularly gullible and annoying, leaving me wanting to shake some sense into her, and the people who wanted to help her, more than a few times.
