"The Happiness Blueprint" ist eine wunderschöne und herzerwärmende Liebesgeschichte, die das Leben ihrer beiden Protagonisten in all seinen Höhen und Tiefen einfängt. Während sich die Handlung zunächst langsam entfaltet, gewinnt sie an Fahrt, als Alex und Klara endlich aufeinandertreffen. Mit jedem Kapitel blühen ihre Persönlichkeiten und ihre Beziehung auf, und ich fieberte Seite um Seite auf ein Ende der Missverständnisse, Hindernisse und Zweifel hin. Die knisternde Chemie zwischen den beiden war sofort spürbar, und man erkannte schnell, wie gut sie sich ergänzen.

Die Autorin behandelt viele wichtige Themen wie Trauer, Depressionen, Autismus, Diabetes sowie die Komplexität von Familienbeziehungen und legt dabei einen starken Fokus auf die geistige und emotionale Gesundheit ihrer Charaktere. Sie schafft es, Klara und Alex auf eine einfühlsame Weise zu charakterisieren, indem sie ihre inneren Kämpfe und Stärken subtil herausarbeitet. Dabei schildert die Autorin nicht nur die unmittelbaren Auswirkungen auf die Betroffenen, sondern wie sich dies im gesamten Alltag widerspiegelt und wie sich diese auf ihre Mitmenschen auswirkt. Ally Zetterberg erzählt die Geschichte mit viel Empathie und Liebe, obwohl ich mir an einigen Stellen mehr Tiefe gewünscht hätte. So hätte ich mir eine tiefergehende Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Autismus gewünscht, was mir zum Ende hin leider etwas zu kurz gekommen ist sowie einen weitergehenden Einblick in die Beziehung zwischen Klara & ihrer Mutter.

Trotz der teils schwierigen Thematiken schafft es die Autorin mit ihrem zugänglichen Schreibstil, den Lesefluss aufrechtzuerhalten, auch wenn der Spannungsbogen sich teils langsam aufbaut. Sie bringt geschickt Szenen ein, die zum Schmunzeln anregen, und schafft eine gelungene Balance zwischen romantischen, lustigen und schwierigen Momenten, ohne den Leser zu überfordern. Die Geschichte wirkt nahbar, und die Protagonisten liegen einem von Anfang an am Herzen.

Das Ende der Geschichte mag dann zwar einige Klischees enthalten, dennoch war es sehr herzerwärmend und hat die Geschichte auf eine süße und romantische Weise abgerundet. Es war ein befriedigender Abschluss, der mich mit einem warmen Gefühl zurückließ.

Fazit:
Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine süße und moderne Slow-Burn-Romanze, die ich wirklich genossen habe. Die Charaktere sind komplex und glaubwürdig, und ich habe die gesamte Zeit mit Klara und Alex von Herzen mitgefiebert.

This story follows two people who are going through some life struggles and work together in the construction company. This was a well-written book that focuses a lot on physical and mental health. I do have to say that I went into this book thinking it was a full-on romance but it’s not and mostly focuses on self-development. This is not a bad thing but for someone like me that’s a one-star less rating. I like to be promised of what I get from the story. I did enjoy the setting and really liked how this book takes place in Sweden. The author did an amazing job describing the area. I do have to say that this book is very slow and there are not many strong conflicts throughout the book. This book is close to 400 pages which was a bit of a struggle for me to get through. This book is told from both Klara and Alex’s pov.

Klara is the fmc of this book and I really enjoyed her character. She has type 1 diabetes and believes she has autism so she is stressed with life especially having to take over her dad’s company. I enjoyed seeing her develop throughout the book. Then there is Alex who struggles with mental health after his brother’s death and needs work. He really improved throughout the story and you could tell. There were some side characters in this book but the MCs took the lead to the story. The romance is a slow burn like a very slow burn which could have been better. I didn’t feel any chemistry but you can tell they are a compatible couple.

The ending was something I didn’t care for as there wasn’t much conflict. I did like the meaning behind the story and seeing so much character development but I do have to say there could have been more conflict and romance. Overall not a bad story but if this book can get categorized as contemporary with no romance that will help get better audience.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Fell in love with the characters right away and loved reading their story.
