Advice from an elder. A gift. That is what this book is. Some I accepted wholeheartedly and others with scepticism. Maybe with time and age, I can begin to comprehend all of Maya Angelou's words of wisdom.

A short but powerful essay collection, pivoting back and forth between Angelou's personal memoirs and her observations / advice for how to live a decent life to the fullest. Her words are guaranteed to be echoing in my head for a long time to come.

It's difficult to rate since it's a collection, and there were parts that I didn't get, but also parts I enjoyed.
