This book probably deserved more stars but it just really wasn't my style.  Loved the concept tho.

Hard book to read. Lots of run on sentences, long detaile  descriptions, no whisper of a plot. Trying very hard to be Hitchhiker's.

Reviews say the audio is easier to follow, so I may try that in the future.

I had such a hard time getting into this book but about halfway through, I was in love. It is so creative and weird and hilarious and meaningful. I love Catherynne Valente <3

I also really enjoyed the work of keeping track of all the species and Unkillable Facts but in case you'd rather use/build on what I've already done, I present my google sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UI9chZTpzYIoieXTDRTPwZhiAn9gD3IkkZLoxzwHpD8/edit?usp=sharing

The writing style of this book was not for me. I think I'm going to switch to trying it on audiobook instead.

I like the premise and story line about the rockers, but it’s interspersed with too many tangents.  Too much world-building? Also very long run on sentences that are hard to follow.  Works a little better in audio format.

This book is a hard one to rate because parts of it were some of the funniest things I’ve ever read, and other parts were unfortunately repetitive. This book is an absolutely crazy take on glam-pop Eurovision in space a la Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I had a wonderful time reading it and the audiobook narrator is an absolute gem

I was so so excited for this book but it was just not it for me. I was obsessed w Decibel Jones but now I simply do not care. There’s too much alien nonsense that is just not interesting to me so I tune it out and forget to tune back in. I might continue to pick at it bc I don’t currently have another book on deck but I’m pretty sure I won’t finish it :/
