This is NOT a children's book. This is a book written for adults who have children. It is saccharine and an obvious ploy to mothers. I cannot imagine any kid getting super excited to read this snoozefest. A fantastic choice for a Mother's Day present, since it is essentially a 32 page Hallmark card. The only reason this got published is because there was a built-in audience from the author's job at Fox News.
The star is for the illustration. Those are lovely and well done.

The story/lyric is nice. It's comforting and nice, but not incredible. It is the illustrations that really set this book apart! They are so beautiful and creative and unique. My daughter and I fell in love with them.

This story is all about the love that a mother has for her child before they are even formed, and about all the hopes and dreams that we, as mothers, have for our child. The illustrations are detailed and magical.

You want a book that will delight a new mom? You can't do better than Take Heart, My Child. Beautiful pictures. Lovely text. You will ooo and aaah. You will cry.
Ainsley Earhardt and Jaime Kim combine their writing and illustrating talents to make a brilliant song of love for you to share with your child on Valentine's Day or any day. The words will delight you and the illustrations will dance for you. It's a beautiful book.
