I guess the only positive adjective I would give this is that it was a "romp." A pulp fiction book of its time, perhaps the writing is just too simplistic for my taste and the action too tame. The plot seemed too repetitive and actually pretty predictable. I could imagine in my mind how this would've made a good movie, however, by expanding on all the action and love scenes. The characters seemed flat. I knew who was the good guy and who was the bad guy, but I didn't really care. The twist at the end was too convenient.

This story has been in pop culture to long for the ending to come as a surprise. Nevertheless, it is as fun an adventure as any good swashbuckling tale should be. See where the story started, and search for the similarities between our hero, Zorro, and the later comic book heroes he inspired.

Read by many people, but starring Val Kilmer, my soon to be husband :)

This was very entertaining - the audiobook was highly enjoyable as a radio play. Highly recommended.

Not too profound love adventure with some highlights.
