This book was a great read! A child with autism needs around-the-clock care. He's got a great dad, but his mother---oy.....she's an awful woman. Completely self-centered. Instead of loving her child, she prefers to lavish all her affection on her husband's credit card and joint bank account. Emily is a breath of a fresh air. She can recognize when a child needs help and she's not afraid to admit it. Most parents don't want to admit that their child isn't normal. Emily knows that early intervention is key. Her compassion for Trevor is so overwhelming that his dad knows he's finally found the right woman for them both.
The only thing I didn't really like about this is how quickly Emily jumped in the sack with Brad. Both aren't even officially divorced yet. The attraction is there, yes, but I didn't think the timing was quite right.
Great character building. Great plot. Satisfying ending. I just thinking the timing was a little off.

I probably would give this 2 1/2 stars if that was an option. VERY predictable. Too much sex. And not written that well. I give the author credit for trying to introduce the topic of autism, which she did mainly with well researched facts. And the idea of how hard it is for many parents/people to understand autism. But I will not be continuing this series. I need more meat in my books :-)

At first I didn't want to read it because I thought the description gave away too much information & seemed more like a summary, but as I read it, i was actually caught up in the story and stayed up all night reading until I had realized the sun was coming up and I needed to sleep. I learned a lot about autism symptoms while reading this. I enjoyed the read even though I thought it would take me longer to finish or it would end up as the 3rd book I couldn't bring myself to finish.

A quick and entertaining enough read if you enjoy soap opera situations.
