Probably would have enjoyed it more if I were younger. The whimsical style of writing was fun, but it probably would've been better as a shorter collection of stories, I found myself quite disinterested by the end. I went in knowing very little about the author and so there were a lot of 'what did I just read' moments and a check back to see when it was originally published... other reviews have probably said it better, but this probably won't be one I read to any children in the future - despite the interesting style.
