Wish I could give this 3.5 stars... It continues to be too religious for my tastes, but is still a decent story. (The romance was finally consummated! :P) Definitely moving onto the last book as I want to see how this is going to end.

To be honest I would honestly give this a 2.5 but since I can't I gave it the 3. The continuous of this being primarily about Jess and Mason sexual life or lack their of or whatever you want to call it, I personally call it cringe worthy. It did not keep me focused on the story, nor kept me wanting to read more on it, if anything I found myself skipping through pages just not to read it. Now don't get me wrong I love romance in books, I will even admit to loving smut in my reads but this was just not in my tastes. It was overall annoying and although in the beginning I was rooting for these two it was just badly done. Sorry to the author because the overall concept of this series I do love but the sexual part and the code names and pet names I just absolutely dislike.
The other thing I absolutely just disliked is that everyone and I mean everyone knew about their personal life, I'm sorry but what?! I can see a best friend or even a family member getting the full deets on their personals but this was just absurd.
What saved this book for me was the fall out with her and Lucifer because I absolutely cried. Not a fan of said Lucifer in real life but to the point of this story I was really hoping for redemption and it broke my heart at their fall out; but it kept me interested to see what happens.
So with that being said I will keep reading the series because now I find myself invested, hopefully more about the story than Jess and Mason otherwise I will not finish.

I both love and hate these books. I am generally not big into romance, and I struggle with Jess and Mason's relationship. I am not sure if it is the bitterness of being a thirty-something woman with a plethora of downright awful relationships in my history; however, the idea of falling in love with the first guy and being sappily head over heels... I just can't enjoy it.

That being said, outside of the lovey dovey crap, I genuinely enjoy this story. I am fascinated by the plotline, and I was really into book 1 and 2, but this third book makes me want to take a break before I begin again. I am pretty unsure where we are heading at this point, and I struggle with the disengaged God and angsty Lucifer. I forget why he decided to rebel, because it was SOOOOO VERY LONG ago. I am not looking forward to finding out what sort of sacrifice Jess needs to make...and if they main characters have to go get matches one more time I am going to completely lose interest.

So I think I may wait on book 4.

So good.

This is the third book in The Watcher Chronicles. This series just keeps getting better and better. I am excited to read the next book.
