Okay I finished Love letters to the dead and at first I didn't like it at all and wanted to dnf it. For a long time I stayed with it that this was max 2 stars worth. But.. with skipping the weird random information parts to the actual famous people, the story was really beautiful, just could've been worked out better so the mc wasn't so childish at some points, so.. between 2.5/3 stars.

I did let a few tears slip the last few pages but mostly bc I thought of my dad (who passed in 2017) reading some beautiful written sentences.

Love letters to the dead is about this girl called laurel who is starting a new school after her sister may died. The book is in the format of letters. So we see her story as she is writing letters to dead people.
I like how this book was in a different format but i found it a bit hard to follow at times. I like the relationship between laurel and sky and how he loved her so much it was hard to see her when she felt low.
I gave this book 3 stars.

I got bored at the middle of the story, almost dnf, but felt like I just can't. So, I finished it in almost two months (due to exams and other things). Well, it's not that bad.

Honestly, the title should've been Love Letters to the Dead *Famous People*. The format is quite unique. I loved it. I also love how this novel gave so much information of how they died. Tragic death stories.

People might think Laurel (the main character) as an annoying girl. That's right. But I completely understand. She went though a lot. I can relate to her in some ways.

Grief. Deep grief.

This book has so many good quotes. Tristan's words are my fav. I think I will write the full review sometime in the future.

Everyone grieves differently and this book only proves that. A very interesting and unique way to write about the topic.
