Ugggh. The poems were fine. Some I genuinely enjoyed. But so many were just repeats of what I'd just read. Changing a few words in a poem and giving it a new name doesn't make it a new poem. It just confuses sleepy people who think they've read the same thing twice.

love love love r.h. sin , especially in this one! captured perfectly of what it is to be imperfect , but still know your self worth and what you deserve, and don’t deserve.

this is what rupi kaur THOUGHT she was writing tbh. it wasn’t bad, i feel very neutral on it overall, but the good poems/fragments didn’t outweigh the bad/cringe/bland ones.

I was enthralled the moment I flipped through the pages of this small, thick book. Because I write my [short] poetry in the exact same way. Non-rhyming, eccentric, weird use of line breaks to signify tone, and no caps on the first word of each sentence.
I liked parts of it, could relate to most of it, but some pages I just skimmed through too. It’s like small doses of comfort food for the heart. I will read his other books too.
