Loved the art of this graphic novel. Super interesting idea of what if The Sea witch won. Also not how I would have seen her going either. Good story, I liked the ending mostly not so sure of how one do the characters was still acting after the time that had passed. All and all beautiful art and an interesting story.

I find it hard to rate graphic novels but anyway… I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was an interesting take on my favourite Disney Princess and I loved the exploration into Ariel and Eric’s characters. The art was beautiful and the story was fun.

Illustrations were gorgeous but the story seemed scattered. There were times where i thoight i had missed a whole storyline/event.

I like the idea of this story, but the execution and really...everything about it just fell flat for me. Ursula makes all these threats, but nothing ever comes of it--she doesn't follow through on ANY of her threats and none of her plans work either, and when you lose all sense of danger from your villain in a story like this... Well, it's not great. There's no tension or struggle or guilt between Ariel and Eric, it's never even acknowledged that they kissed WHILE he's technically married to Ursula--a sham of a marriage, but still. Give us SOME sort of feelings other than just "squeeeeee, he still LIKES me!"
Another thing that I didn't enjoy was this random OC who showed up, was too smart to have her voice stolen, and who basically saved the whole main cast by revealing Ursula's true form. Unsure if she's a writer insert, or supposed to be a reader insert, but either way...the voice-stealing plot point went nowhere, and the reveal could easily have been done by an actual canon character.

I LOVED it!
The little mermaid was my first Disney as a kid and it has always stayed with me.
I loved:
- the art style and palette colour! GORGEOUS!
- the fact that it raised many points/questions we all had while watching the original movie.
- how sassy they both were
- how bad ass Ariel looked in her new outfit
- and again, the art style! So pretty! For some reason Ariel’s hair changed colour from her past to her recent days panels. It’s obvious on one page where we see both: her hair are darker in the present and more raspberry but I loved it anyway.
I will keep an eye on similar releases like this one in the future!

Beautifully illustrated but I felt the story was all over the place. Sometimes I felt like I had accidentally skipped a page, but indeed I did not. Not even sure what happened at the end. Very rushed.
