Such a good series.
The characters in this book each have their own voice and visions. It makes everything make so much sense.

This finale was a masterpiece. Kemmer writes political strife and intrigue so well, it’s mesmerizing. Without a doubt one of my all time favorite YA series. I’ll be recommending this one for years to come!

3.5!

had some time to sit with this one, and whilst I did thoroughly enjoy it, and the writing style was good, it felt a bit disjointed to be switching around three different character POVs that were in wildly different storylines (ToG has multiple POVs but it all flows together seamlessly) - this one felt like we were being shuttled around, and spent majority of the book with a character's POV that the first & second books didn't focus on hugely.

That being said, I still did enjoy the series as a whole, the first one is definitely a favourite of mine, and I still think it could easily be read as a standalone.

An underwhelming finale—I think the plot was there but it needed better writing.

Harristan and Quint's storyline broke my heart that I feel like ending the book with the letter Tessa got would've been much more impactful, but I'm not complaining about that ending!

Speaking of Tessa, all throughout the series she was such a dry protagonist. Literally did not gaf about her.
