đ¸ ARIANA'S BOOK REVIEW đ¸

Genre: Chick Lit, Romance, Contemporary, Young Adult, Humor
"Legally Blonde" by Amanda Brown is a delightful and entertaining chick lit novel that captivates readers with its quirky humor and charming storytelling. While the movie adaptation might be more well-known, the book offers its own unique charm and moments of laughter.
Set in the world of Harvard Law School, the story follows the journey of Elle Woods, a fashion-forward sorority girl determined to win back her ex-boyfriend. From navigating the challenges of her studies to proving herself amongst her judgmental peers, Elle's transformation from a seemingly shallow blonde to a strong, intelligent woman is both empowering and humorous.
Fans of the iconic movie adaptation starring Reese Witherspoon may find themselves favoring its portrayal of Elle Woods' character. The book provides additional depth and insight into Elle's journey, showcasing her growth and resilience in a way that compliments the on-screen version. It's interesting to note the differences between the two mediums and appreciate the book's original content.
Amanda Brown's writing style is light-hearted and fast-paced, making it a breeze to devour the chapters with a smile. The characters come to life in vibrant detail, each uniquely contributing to the humorous tone of the story. Additionally, the author's wit and clever dialogue add a strong comedic element that will keep readers engaged from start to finish.
"Legally Blonde" is a charming and enjoyable chick lit novel that will appeal to both fans of the genre and a broader audience. While the movie may have gained more popularity, the book offers its own entertaining take on the story, offering readers additional insights into Elle Woods' journey. With its quick-paced writing style, humorous dialogue, and lovable characters, this book is perfect for those seeking a fun and light-hearted reading experience.
People who have read âThe Wolf Of Wall Streetâ (Jordan Belfort), âGood Will Huntingâ (Matt Damon) and âForrest Grumpâ (Winston Groom) may like this book.

Legally Blonde is one of my FAVORITE movies of all time. I love how empowering it is. This book didnât make me feel as empowered. I do say that it does have a good story line and I probably wouldâve liked it without seeing the movie.
The movie is more comedic and has more of a female empowering presence that I love. In the book, the professors are different and there isnât a Callahan or an Emmett. Stromwell isnât a character (and she is KEY in the movie.)
I think if I wouldnât have been so hooked on the movie I wouldâve enjoyed the book better but I compared it too much and loved the movie more.

I love the movie and was excited to finally read this book. While the main plot points from the movie have clear linkages to the novel, there are definitely some noticeable differences as well. There were pieces of the book's storyline I enjoyed more than the movie, but parts of the movie I wouldn't change even though they're not in the book.
