I have a feeling that I’ll return to this book over and over in the upcoming years. I have been in a state of anticipatory grief after my mom’s diagnosis and already relate so much to this book. It’s a beautiful book of love and grief for the loss of a parent.

A touching tribute to her father and a powerful reflection on the isolation of the COVID shutdown. A very personal account of grief with some very informative insights into how it affects us.

to be able to remember someone within 67 pages and capture life perfectly is a miraculous thing.

“i am writing about my father in the past tense, and i cannot believe i am writing about my father in the past tense”

a great concept of culture in abba, deeper understanding of third world countries and how they function, even if it wasn’t the intention of the book.
