This book is so beautiful. A short reflection I will read over and over - I would read a million more pages if she wrote them.

I can see this book being therapeutic for many. It can ease the burden of such lonely experiences while offering formidable strength to those in need. I have to experience this pain, but the simplicity in her remembrance paves the path for connection. Thank you Adiche for helping me understand.

Incredibly sad and beautiful. Recommended for anyone grieving, especially during the pandemic.

Adichie is a strong, brilliant voice in the pantheon of writers that I enjoy. I have not read all of her works, but those I have speak to me. And, though I have been mostly untouched by the grief that she evinces in this short book, I am aware of the fleeting nature of human life and the realization that my own parents are coming into the sunset of their lives, so this book seems to have more to tell me in its wisdom.

Love a short grief book. Often that's all I really need or can handle. This one doesn't capture it all but it isn't meant to. A loving and bittersweet reflection on her father and what it is to lose someone you really, really care about

Didn’t connect with the author and the writing style. Expected more of a connection with the material but felt nothing.

A powerful collection of words for working through grief during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and a beautiful tribute to Adichie’s father.
