The author flaunts their fanaticism for all things period pieces and inflicts those hyper-fixations through a poorly written and obnoxious character with no social skills.

No. Thank you.

Hmm, I really liked this until you get to the big reveal at the end. I mean, you can see it coming but you kind of hope the author has found a clever way out of it because it's not good. In fact, it's a little skeevy, not going to lie. As the heroine writes at some point, you really wonder what happens the day after the last page...

Retelling of Daddy Long Legs. Love the way this opened my eyes to things I had never considered. Christian themes.

Super cute! Nice clean romance novel and I enjoyed it immensely. I "read" this on audio book but I liked the author so much, I will probably get the other two she has written from the library. On the list as one of my new favorite authors!

I really liked this one. I cried so much through it. (Maybe because I was also dealing with some personal stuff while I read it and it was nice to be able to cry over something that wasn't my own situation... idk, but it really pulled my heartstrings in the best way.)

That being said, I can't say the MC is super great. Her head is in the clouds a lot and it's difficult to believe that someone who's gone through what she's been through can be so naive about certain situations.

The Christian themes were kind of lacking. As is, it's "Christian-lite." Not a ton of Christian content if that's what you're here for.
