I loved this book. I had read the first in the series and thought it was okay but I’m so glad I took a chance and read this one.
This author writes such angsty scenes and it’s a true tearjerker at many times throughout the book. The mmc is so broken by his past and not knowing how to deal with his trauma. And both are so hurt by their breakup and not being able to meet in the middle. When they finally get on the same page you can just feel the emotions.
The side characters from the first book were well placed in this one. Nolan continues to steal the show in the scenes he’s in.
“Break my skin and embed her inside me”

The story of these two, oh boy, it's amazing and I'm in awe with Jessica's fantastic writing and how she allowed both these characters to take their respectful time to reach the growth they needed!
OMG the chemistry between them was literal fire. There was so much back and forth, angst, angry, obsessive, and passionate feelings between these two and the spice is so freaking good!
There were times I wanted to reach into the book and kick Luke's arrogant, rude self in the face. He caused a lot of unnecessary pain because he got scared, but in the moments his tenderness broke through i totally got why Tessa stayed!
There isn't anything sweet or easy about this couple. They're both strong and dominant and dancing around trying to top each other. But oh boy they fit each other amazingly!
Definitely recommend this and i definitely need to read more from Jessica!

It's strange what has happened to me with this series. I like the reading, it's entertainging and it totally captures me, but some stuff bugs me, some interactions, some things I can't even point. So that's why it's not quite a 4 star but more than 3

Ugh, stubborn doesn't cover Luke and Tessa
If a couple were anymore obstinate than these two, they would need cages and therapy. Actually, Luke and Tessa probably should get therapy.
As the second book in the series All I Want brings plenty of angst, drama, and absolutely pig headedness. Love is not enough when one person feels alone in a relationship.
I loved this book because the pain is just as intense as the pleasure (HEA).

This book bordered on the brink of annoying me, several times! Just when I thought I could like Tessa and/or Luke - they'd both do something to piss me off. I don't know that these two should be together, even after the book finished and they got their HEA. Their relationship wasn't very healthy.
I loved seeing Ben, Mia and Nolan - I think they were the reason I enjoyed this book, as much as I did - enough to give it 3 stars. I also really enjoyed the end of Luke's Dad's story. I was really happy to see that turn out like it did.
Other than that - I don't have much positive to say about Luke and Tessa. They both had positive qualities as individuals that made me enjoy them as people. But together they were fire and gasoline. Not much good came from them together.
I enjoy this story and am hoping I will like them better!

All I Want is the second book in the Alabama Summer series and my favorite so far. The story picks up a year after Tessa broke up with Luke. Luke still hasn’t forgiven Tessa for breaking his heart and keeping an important secret from him. Rather than admit he still has feelings for Tessa, he tries to erase her from his memory by turning into a manwhore and flaunting his sexcapades in Tessa’s face. Tessa still hasn’t gotten over Luke, but she refuses to settle for a man who doesn’t want marriage or kids and who won’t open himself up emotionally. Unlike Luke, she’s spent the past year being celibate. Finally ready to move on, it’s Tessa’s venture into the world of online dating that forces Luke to confront his feelings. And when the two come together their chemistry is explosive.
Luke and Tessa bring love-hate to a whole new level! There’s a scene where they have angry sex that manages to be steamy and tender at the same time, in the midst of which they finally discuss their feelings about their breakup. It sounds odd but somehow it works for these two.
I absolutely adored Tessa. She’s brash, no-nonsense, confident, and witty. I love a strong woman who’s unafraid to speak her mind and quick to put someone in their place. Tessa’s got some hilarious comebacks. In one of my favorite scenes she’s confronted by one of Luke’s hook-ups.
Nobody blends a saucy romance with fun like J. Daniels and All I Want is signature J. Daniels on steroids: provocative and humorous, intense and fun, passionate and raw, sweet and dirty.
Why not five stars? I wasn’t satisfied with the ending. Suddenly, strong-willed Tessa becomes someone who compromises her self-worth? It was like The Invasion of the Body Snatchers. In the end I was left wondering if Luke would ever be able to fully give Tessa what she needs and deserves. 4 out of 5 stars.

"Whore,” she finally says after being shocked into silence for a good minute.Despite her bravado, Tessa makes herself extremely vulnerable to Luke and he breaks her heart more than once. There’s an edge to Luke, a hardness born of his own emotional scarring. The interactions with his dad are sometimes painful. Emotions run high in this book and I liked it.
I shrug. “I prefer lady of the evening, but I understand if your vocabulary is a bit limited. That high school diploma is a bitch to get."

Spoiler
Despite the jackass way he left her, when the two are reunited at the end, Tessa accepts Luke back without a decent apology or sufficient demonstration that he has changed.

Luke and Tessa’s arrangement was simple, just hooking up without any labels, until a scare brought things into perspective. Now they’re living parallel lives with their heartbreaks. But when Tessa starts to try to move on, Luke will do anything in his power to prevent that from happening. Even if it means inserting himself even more into her life.
This was a very tumultuous but cute second chance romance. I love Tessa’s strong willed character who’s not afraid of anything yet can be very vulnerable. Luke was such a tough guy who guarded his heart ferociously. Both of their characters were so personable and easy to relate to. Tessa and Luke make sense together, and their attraction/tension can’t be beat. While the story did seem to drag a bit because of their misunderstandings of each other, I was entertained and enthralled with their love story!
