This book was so comforting to me. With all the noise and dissonance and trying to be accommodating of the dialectic, I feel constantly dizzy and sick. The creep of unreality into every part of our lives is scary. The reality of the “mirror world”- whether that be differing political sides, the performance of the self online, the performance of the self in person, conspiracy vs truth- is that it all exists together, equally. We all exist together, and we better treat each other well and at the very least equally in order for us to have a world that we can thrive in.
