Spectacularly melodramatic and trashy and supremely enjoyable as a result. Has everything you’d expect from an Andrews/Neiderman book. I couldn’t put it down.

This a re-read for me and I still love it. I love all of V.C Andrew’s books, well I should say.. her older books. I know she had a ghostwriter finish some of her books.

Might be more of a three and a half. I've never read V.C. Andrews so I was a little surprised by some of the content. But it was surprisingly good.

This is a pretty messed up family drama book. I did not know anything about it going it and wow there were issues. I don't know if I can read the rest of the series tbh, it reads lime one of those angst family Mangwas that just gets depressing before any happy ending happens. Decent but I'll just wiki the plot

was this poorly written? yes. was the subject matter completely appalling and fucked up? yes. did I enjoy the ride? absolutely.

rereading this as an adult, I can't believe I was allowed to own these as a child and I was reading them for the first time in MIDDLE SCHOOL. my parents should be shot on sight.

don't judge me. this is my bachelor. this is my love island. this is my house wives of -insert here- now let me be and mind ya business.

In light of the new series debuting on Lifetime, I felt the need to read “The Cutler” series. This book was very intriguing and held my attention throughout the entire book. I always like to read a book that has or is being made into a movie or miniseries to see how they compare. If you love family sagas full of drama and family secrets; this definitely a book to add to your TBR list!!

Now, onto the next book is the series “Secrets of Morning”.

No star rating as I don't remember much of the book - just that I thought it wasn't as good as V.C. Andrews's other books were. As Google tells me this is the first completely ghostwritten book, that may explain it. I read a few more Andrews books after this one, but none really stand up to the originals.
