Groundball is the 4th book and I couldn’t wait to listen to this one. Aiden Snow and Stephanie Rose were amazing once again. Their voices bring these characters to life.

Cooper and Gabby’s story continues and the angst is so good. Keeping their secret is getting harder and omg I can’t wait to listen to the next one. I highly recommend the audios for these books…so good.

In book four we find Gabby and Cooper still dating in secret. I loved seeing how well she fit in with his family and how well they fit together but are still having trouble with finding the right time to tell her father about their relationship. Lisa throws in a few more twists in his book.

This was the first book of the series that Lisa had made me want to throw my kindle. Gabby and Cooper have my heart and I’m so excited to see them find their happy ending in the final book after all the ups and downs they so many ups and downs they have been through.

Once again a huge thank you Lisa for an advance copy. I have been having a blast reading this story and Gabby and Cooper have been on of my favorite couples she has written.

Normally I have a lot I write but this book has me speechless. This is the 4th book in the Vegas Heat: Expansion series and it didn't disappoint. Drama, love, and of course cliffhanger and this one was a doozy. I can't wait to see how everything comes together in the next & final book. Definitely recommend reading and don't forget to read all books in order! I also like that we're getting a lot of side characters because that just means many many more books coming that involve Vegas Heat baseball players.

That cliffhanger!!!

Groundball is the fourth book in the Vegas Heat: Expansion Team and cannot be read as a standalone.

Gabby and Cooper are still so in love, but it’s not easy for them to be together. There are more twists, surprises, secrets, and angst! I felt so bad for Gabby, Cooper, and everyone involved. And I got mad…at certain characters.

I really just need the next book because that cliffhanger was heartbreaking.

Audio:
Narrators: Stephanie Rose and Aiden Snow
Style: Dual

Once again, Stephanie and Aiden did a great job bringing the story to life. This one was more emotional than the others, and I could truly hear the emotion in their voice.

By Groundball, there is no doubt that Cooper and Gabby are meant to be. Age is just a number, and the 12-year age gap doesn't affect their relationship. They are both committed to nurturing a relationship expected to last a lifetime.

As the baseball season approaches and their work commitments increase, harder it gets to find the time to be together in secret. They have agreed is time to tell Troy, Gabby's father. But the timing never seems to be right. Add jealousy, high emotions, and one devastating cliffhanger. One that no one saw coming.

Hardball, the last book, can't come soon enough. I love these characters, and I'm rooting for them.

I am waffling between three and four stars for this one, so I’m going to write a like/dislike list to express what I’m thinking:

Like: Cooper and Gabby together. Love them actually. They are so in love and everything that they say and do for each other is such magic.

Dislike: at the end of several chapters the last sentence is something like “if I had only known it would end so badly” or “the way it ended was so much worse than I could have thought” and stuff along those lines. Well how does it end? It was a lot of what’s gonna happen when really, just tell us what’s happening. I didn’t need that much buildup. I already know it’s not gonna end well, there’s a fifth book.

Like: Cooper and Gabby are finally going to tell Troy

Dislike: Gabby has no self confidence and literally one person has to say something slightly negative and she doesn’t think she deserves anything. Mia is a bitch, maybe just don’t listen to her?

Like: when Cooper says he wants Troy to accept their relationship because he wants Troy to be the one walking his future bride down the aisle at his wedding. I loved that!

Dislike: That nothing ever goes to plan! Can we just tell Troy already?!

Like: That Gabby’s mom isn’t blackmailing her with the info she knows about Gabby and Cooper. I was so worried that was going to be part of the story and I just didn’t want that to be a thing.

Dislike: that Cooper is about to make the stupidest mistake of his life

4.5 out of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the fourth book in the Vegas Heat Series so make sure you read the other three books first. Groundball begins where Flyball ends & readers will feel Cooper & Gabby's fears for Troy's health as well as their frustrations at having their plans to be honest about their relationship be paused once again. As they continue to keep their relationship a secret, tension builds as you anticipate the truth to be revealed. You will continue to love Cooper & Gabby as they continue to be serious about each other while they handle their own affairs. Each page made me nervous &, just like Cooper & Gabby, I was trying to enjoy their moments together before the inevitable happened. & even though you know their relationship will be revealed, there are still twists that will surprise you leaving you anxious to read the final installment as soon as you finish this book.

4⭐️ I’ve been dying to see where Cooper & Gabby were going to end up after the end of book 3 & this one didn’t disappoint. It picks up immediately where the last ended and spans a few couple of months in a short time.

⚾️We continue to see Cooper and Gabby attempt to figure out their relationship. The hiding and secretiveness is catching up to both of them. There is so much tension in this book & I love it. While I do think these 4 books so far could have been 2, I enjoy the cliffhangers and fun details LS is able to add making it longer. I’m excited to see where the finale is going to take us, & how Cooper and Gabby are going to find their HEA.
