Frieda McFadden has done it again!!! Ever since I read “The Housemaid,”which I loved, I have been making my way through all of her other books and this one did not disappoint! Other than the housemaid series, this is definitely my favourite book of hers that I've read!
It is a super fast read which earns bonus points from me and the plot is constantly moving which keeps you on your toes.
I love the multiple POVs and short chapters as well as the interview format of certain chapters!
The story felt unique and the plot twists were AMAZING as always!
I’ve seen some people say that they could predict the end but personally that was not the case! I thought I knew how it would end but of course was wrong and loved the twists! Also the very very end! Ahh! I didn’t see anything coming and it was definitely a different story than I thought it would be which made it exciting!
Would highly recommend to any fans of psychological thrillers or any Freida McFadden fans! Definitely a fave of hers for me!

one of the more mediocre reads from McFadden. i didn’t connect with the characters that much. the twist didn’t seem that plausible to me either. overall, not the best from her works.

Frieda McFadden has done it again, folks!

Erika Cass thinks she has the perfect family until the police show up on her doorstep accusing her 16-year-old son, Liam, of kidnapping and murdering a girl from his class. Liam has always shown signs of dark and disturbing thoughts, but Erika has done her best to help keep Liam away from acting on those thoughts. But now, she's not sure she can protect her son anymore.

My audiobook skipped ahead almost to the end for some reason, so I accidentally found out the twist long before I was supposed to. However, that didn't fully ruin the book for me. I still enjoyed the lead-up and aftermath of the twist.

Thriller lovers will definitely get a kick out of The Perfect Son.

I just can't get enough of Freida's books! She has become one of my favorite authors and I will read pretty much anything she writes. This book had another great twist that I didn't see coming. Freida is the queen of red herrings as well.

Plot twist was clever but I saw it coming from a mile away, which is what kept me from rating this five stars. But I would still recommend this, especially if you need something to binge read.

The plot and the twist in this one were quite predictable. It just didn’t hit the same as her other books, there’s way less suspense and some parts just dragged on with unnecessary details.

My first Freida McFadden book and I'm looking forward to more!

A fairly fast-paced read with short, digestible chapters that made me want to read "just one more."

I did predict the "twist" fairly early on but I wasn't necessarily disappointed when it was revealed. It was still very suspenseful, and I loved the switching POVs, with interlaced police interviews.
