This book is a must read for fans of the Netflix series!

If you have already seen the Netflix series then you should read this book because it follows along the exact episodes of the series in the POV of each character.
I know a lot of people don't like this book because it is literally a written version of the Netflix series, but you do find out a few more details about each character and also a little bit of a background story too.

Exactly like season 1 of the show. Clearly written after the fact.

I was really excited about this book and I am so disappointed. I couldn’t get into it, the plot and writing felt childish, and the person (1st, 2nd, 3rd) kept changing.

As a huge fan of winx club, I didn't even want to watch the series when I heard they're making a live action of the winx and they're excluding Flora and Tecna. But then, I said why not to give it a chance. I watched the first episode and I kinda liked it so I continued. At the end of the first season, I loved it even though the original winx club will always be in my heart.
I didn't know there's a book so when I found out there's also a book after the series, I had to get it. When I started reading it I didn't have big expectations. But then, I was impressed by the fact that it really matches the series, not like other books. This is the first thing that I liked at the book. Whenever I was reading, I couldn't put the book down. To be honest, I thought it will not be as good as a series. As in any book, of course there are parts that I didn't like at all. The part that I didn't like was the same with the part I didn't like in the series and in the original Winx Club. Bloom is still too overrated. I was hoping that the other characters will get a little appreciation too.
Overall, I rated it 4/5 because it was really nice and I can't wait to see if there will be a second book.

Most people complain that they have no time to read, because they can't stay away from Netflix. I have the other way round issue. I have an endless to watch list on Netflix, but I just can't get myself to actually watch it all because I prefer reading. So, when I was browsing on the internet and discovered there was a novelisation of the Winx Saga I didn't hesitate and bought myself the book. That way I would at least know what the hype was about, right?

I quite enjoyed reading this book and I'm pretty certain that the book adds a layer of emotion the series can't show. There is a lot of inner monologue in this book and I like how all those thoughts make each character more than the stereotype they sometimes come across as. And although the amount of characters seems like a lot at the beginning, it didn't take long to get to know them all and to start caring about all of them.

The book, just like the series, is divided in six chapters. And just like in the series we experience the story from multiple points of view. The book makes however quite clear that this is most of all Bloom's story. She is the only one in the book written in first person. But even without that it would be clear this is her story. Everything that happens, all the mystery, it's all about her, who she is and why she has the powers she has.

Although the characters had some stereotypical character traits, they were all more than just that one stereotype. I like how all those characters are so clearly flawed and messing up. They're teens. They make mistakes. They think they do the right thing and then realize they've messed up. They have secrets and they have issues communicating. However, somehow it's also quite clear that those characters are strongest when they are together.

I can't wait to read the second season! (And who knows, maybe I do end up watching the first season eventually ;-))

A little bit disappointed.
I expected to get more insight on the characters. Instead the book is actually the script of the tv show :((

I'm sad I didn't liked it more because the writing is light and funny.

The book definitely must be read before watching the show.
