Tugged at the heart strings and made me want to experience jungle and wild animals for myself. Goes to show that animals can be just as characteristic as humans can.

 This book, set in Bolivia in a wildlife refuge, is an interesting read. It is the story of a volunteer at the refuge and the puma that she works with.
I think that this is a 3 star for me because it cause that I am less passionate about. I believe that those who are passionate about animals, animal tracking, rainforest conservation and the like will love this book. And even though it is not my passion, it did inspire me to look up the website and see how they are functioning today and to see the animals that need sponsorship.
I did enjoy the description of Wayra (the puma). And the pictures included were amazing. It felt like there were too many characters including all the animals at the shelter, the staff, and the volunteers, who are constantly rotating. I liked the growth of both the author and of Wayra, as they grow and change throughout the years.
