Like the first two books in this series, this is a warm, tender, and surprisingly sober series of comics. We get more of Mr. Kanda's (the titular "Man") backstory; this is teased by the cover art, which I think beautifully aligns tonally and narratively across the season.
As always, there is an element of silliness hear, i.e. a lot of puns on "meow" in Fukumaru's (the titular "Cat") dialogue, over the top reactions from Mr. Kanda's younger teacher colleagues, but it's all part of the charm.

So many more relatable cat moments and enough tragic backstories to go around! I love how the characters are developing now that the creator has been able to expand the format of the story. Moriyama has fallen so hard for Kanda and honestly who can blame him. The boy's got it bad and I love to see it!
Moderate: Panic attacks/disorders and Grief
Minor: Bullying, Death, and Abandonment
