The Queen puts King in Check
The Bonds We Break was an emotional ride. This story was very character driven. As usual, Scarlett Cole's writing centers amazing character arcs. This book in the Iron Outlaws MC series focused on the President of the club, Uther "King" Hills and his quest for revenge. The sting of betrayal, coupled with the pressure to lead, sends King down a dark road. Rae Miller seems like the perfect path for vengeance. When King kidnaps Rae, he gets way more than he bargained for.
Rae is an intelligent, strong, loyal, and determined individual. She uses her skills as a psychologist to her advantage when interacting with others, especially King. The tension between King and Rae is all-encompassing; it's physical, sexual, and emotional. The road to vengeance usually leads to destruction, but for King, it leads to redemption. The emotions in this story run high for both main characters. Together, they learn to heal and love. I am so ready to read the next installment of this series! It keeps getting more twisted and beautiful.
Graphic: Gun violence and Violence
Minor: Child abuse and Drug use
