Heavy on Christianity and faith, but even still many good nuggets of advice

A nice refresher and maybe good for those new to productivity or success books, but I could have done without all the Jesus talk... I don't sign on to the belief that when I'm successful it's thanks to some god and when I mess up it's my fault. It's all my responsibility, either way.

Some great ideas with a bit too much preaching.

The short and sweet: Mr. Ziglar reiterates the most popular self-help insights and suggestions. It's very possible he pioneered many of them in the first place... I haven't done my self-help historical research. I suppose another book telling me to "set goals" and "become a lifelong learner" can't hurt, and I liked how some of his ideas on how to start a better life were illustrated. I also found it nice to have little worksheets to put the lessons into practice. It's an excuse to take a minute and reflect on one's life goals and current situation.

P.S. Born to Win may be easier to digest if you also happen to be Christian; it's a common theme throughout the book.

The book was a good comprehensive self-help book. If you have not had a vast amount of experience reading these types of books then I would recommend Born to Win.

Speaks to strategy in knowing your why, goal setting, and self-management.

Hard to decide what to rate as it was a very good overview of how to approach self improvement. The one thing that stood out was the "wheel", in other words, it takes all of the parts of the wheel to be round, not just one aspect.
