I never rate non fiction as how can I when it’s so personal but this was an unreal read so interesting with an amazing insight to forensic psychiatry

I really liked this book: a sympathetic representation of people who have committed terrible crimes, many of whom are dubbed 'monsters'. Each chapter is a different case study a d I was absorbed by all of them. It's thought provoking and occasionally provocative, asking the reader to open their minds to uncomfortable views and truths. Her conclusion is that we need a more preventative system based on helping those who are already sign posted as being potential murderers etc. The only part of the book I didn't like where the insincere references to literature; it felt so tagged on and I wondered if it was something the co author added on?
