Wow, this book is dark and tackles some tough topics. It's not what I expected, but it's still a great read.
I think it would have been a better read if Millie had been more likable, before the very end of the book. I get why Nina had to be unlikable at first.
Overall, it’s a great read about women taking their power back. I only recommend it if you can handle going to quite dark places and can handle the content warnings mentioned below without it bringing up trauma.

Narrator Rating: 4.0 stars
While the narrator did an excellent job with the various voices, her voice for Millie was quite annoying, which made the book harder to listen to for longer stretches.

thrilling, lots of twists, even more turns. was fully gasping in the library today while reading this... read the vast majority (250 pages or so) of the book today. felt very much like reading a soap opera, not really deep, and maybe leaving some holes, but fast enough paced and eventful that it’s enjoyable to watch.

Definitely a page turner. A dark novel, but light entertainment. I did feel that the voices of Millie and Nina were too similar (the author's style came through with the same phrases etc.) so that was a bit of a minus for me in terms of character development. Overall an enjoyable read though.

I love these kinds of books. So much tension and drama and nothing is as it seems. Some parts of the mystery i predicted but most of it I did not! I love that I could not put it down. I need to read the next in the series!

This is my second Frieda book and all I can say is wow! What a twist! I can honestly say I didn’t see it coming!
Can’t wait to read the next book!

Read in one day. Good premise and kept me interested. Was unsure about how the book was split up.
