I’ll start off by saying that I’ve never been a Mary Higgins Clark reader. But a fellow reader stated that I’d enjoy this particular book and she was right.
Told through multiple characters, the stories all intertwine and work together to address the major theme, where is Mack? Along with his disappearance a decade ago, three other women have disappeared over the years and a now another young woman has disappeared. What do these women and Mack have in common, if anything.
Mainly told through Mack’s sister, Carolyn’s, view, we quickly become immersed within the story. Where’s Mack, why does he only call on Mother’s Day, how is he involved with the missing women? Everybody seems to be a suspect as they all have some secret they’re all trying to hide. Secrets, secrets everywhere and where do these people fit within the puzzle.
The ending provided a slight twist that helped to elevate this mystery from being the run of the mile. Found the story overall to be a fast read with an even pace and interesting characters. Well worth the read.

Typical MHC read. She writes a great mystery and doesn't clutter it up with foul language and sex scenes. It's just a great "who done it" with a tidy ending. :)

I read this for the book group that I run, and although it isn't my regular cup of tea, I enjoyed it. It's not a genius work of fiction, but a decent, easy read.

I read this in honor of mom, who is a big MHC fan. Very typical MHC, but its kind of fun and quick. See how quickly you can pick out the real bad guy from the redherrings.
