This was a typical Mary Higgins Clark mystery. I enjoy her stories and she really keeps the story moving. I am always surprised by her endings. i have read a lot of her books and have never been disappointed.

Her main characters seem to be getting dumber. They make stupid choices, they are rude and invasive to others, and I end up wishing them all dead.

Mystery have never really interested me. So i wasn't too excited when our teacher said we had to choose a myestery book and read it. I didn;t really get into this book until about half way. The reason ws that even halfway through, new characters were still being introduced. Then each chapter was only about 4 pages, and each chapter was following a different character. i thought overall the story was a bit illogical. though to mystery lovers, i would definetly recommended it.

I always like Mary Higgins Clark because I know what I am getting. Since I have read so many of them, I am getting better at predicting who the "murderer" is, but I still find that I can't stop turning the pages to find if my guess is correct. She is a clean writer and gives me just enough suspense without making me too scared.

It's been a while since I've read a Mary Higgins Clark novel (I loved them in high school) and the experience was only okay. The writing is overly dramatic a lot of the time and it's not super hard to pick out the bad guy (or several major plot points) from pretty early on. Then again, I'm a pretty tough audience for mysteries, especially those that claim to have surprising twists (and rarely do).

Back in middle school and high school, i used to love mary higgins clark. she was no dean koontz, but i always enjoyed her mysteries. I don't read her that often anymore, but a book of hers came up on the queue. She is fluff, but entertaining fluff. Her writing style draws you in. Here we have a woman whose brother disappeared in college, but calls once a year on mother's day. This year, she vows to figure out what happened to him so her and her mom's lives can get out of limbo. There's also some girls who keep disappearing, also from college. I figured out who the "bad guys" were before the end, it wasn't that mysterious, but it was entertaining. Clark is good just because she can provide an easy to digest story that isn't super or thoughtful, but will keep you engaged.
