The beginning was definitely solid, but the middle kinda sucked and felt drawn out, ending's weird and way too bright but I still enjoyed it. The fact that I read when summer's near a end also probably didn't help
Also ugly cover, what was that

It’s so bad, I wanna give you a zero. But that’s not possible. So I give you…a one.
I barely got halfway through this book and I couldn’t read it anymore. I liked the plot, but the writing was just so immature and confusing. The writing seems to be meant for 12 year olds but some of the words are meant for 16 year olds. Some of the thoughts Abby had and was sharing them to the reader were just repeats of what we already know about how she feels. About Noah, her grandmother, etc., we already know how she feels so she doesn’t have to repeat it, but she does. It got super annoying and I couldn’t get through chapter 16.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed similar genres in the past!
Good things:
Abby was a realistic character
Noah was a sweetheart
Picked up really quickly
Intriguing storyline
I loved the whole necklace thing
I loved that specific letter size and font together for some reason
Bad things:
Ending was a little odd
Setting was kind of strange in the beginning but for much better as it was more established
Dialogue could be weird at times- Noah started sounding like Abby for a little and then reverted back
I found a typo!
Are we supposed to not like Tyler?? (Not a bad thing, just a question)
Overall, I loved the author, and would read more of this genre from her, but I really think she could write a more serious novel and have it be really good. Anyway, bottom line, recommend to everyone and will read more of her books

♡ A summer romance of a girl thrown into the rich lifestyle all the while trying to find out more about her family history, but owning the fact that she's not rich and being true to herself? Yes, please. This book was a super cute and quick read!
♡ Abigail is a young girl who's obsessed with history, and upon learning where her late grandmother used to live from some old letters, she sets out on a journey to spend a summer there to learn more about her mysterious grandmother's life. She had no motives except to learn about her family history and live an unforgettable summer.
♡ Noah has one last summer at his vacation home in Nantucket before he goes off to Harvard for a Business major at his father's request, but biodiversity is where his interests lie. But as the firstborn son who's been raised to take over the family business, his wants don't matter. But throughout his summer with Abigail, he learns how to see a world where he can prioritize his wants.
♡ Abigail and Noah clash when they realize that their grandparents were long lost loves from years ago. Noah doesn't want to rock the boat and bring up unpleasant memories with his family while Abigail is eager to do some digging on her grandmother's past. Their relationship was written so well, I loved it! The "almost enemies to friends to lovers" trope was so well done, their relationship developed slowly from friendship to dating. The conflict/plot twist had me shook! It was written so well to show how human the characters are in trying to figure out their lives. Top-notch writing!

I enjoyed this "fluffy" tale of a girl trying to figure out her mysterious grandmother's past. The story that she uncovers is more than she ever expected. Felt like a surprise ending!
