I'm actually angry that I've never heard of Elizabeth before. Kate Moore's writing is phenomenal and she's now an auto-buy author for me. Keep these stories coming, Kate, because there are so many badass women that have been buried under mediocre men in our history.

If you’re not enraged reading this, you haven’t paid attention. History is rife with villains of the masculine variety. And they’re not going anywhere apparently . It’s women who must challenge and defeat them. Soundly. Preferably with pain, but words are good too. This was written while enraged. Free Brittany!

Such an inspiring account of a strong and intelligent woman who was ahead of her time.

A fascinating bit of history! It's terrifying in how women were treated at that time, but equally empowering in her perseverance and historical impact. The book felt a bit long at times, but it was well-written, and the details are needed to understand the significance of the story and its conclusions.
