So this was a pretty clever whodunnit which left you guessing to the end & had a surprising story in the story. I’d say this despite the fact that the voice of the protagonist is very irreverent & definitely not PC wrt women. Despite that it comes across very authentic & recognisable.

This one was a little slower than the first book but still good!

I loved the first one, second one didn't mesh well with the pervious story. So forget the first book and start here.

Hilarious. Enough reality to be believable. Loved that I didn't figure out the killer for a while. Literally made me heart rate go up.

Its one of those books which has a sequel better than the first one. Loved the emotion touch it had to the sarcastic outgoing Thomas Prescott!

Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. Will continue to listen to the next book in the series since I have the first 4 available for free. I felt like Gray Matter was an improvement on the first book in some ways- still plenty of quips, but seemingly toned down. Some parts grated on my nerves - namely, the killer wolves- but I kept reminding myself to suspend my disbelief so that I could enjoy the story.
The main character seemed more human/likeable/ believable this go around. I really enjoyed the parts with him visiting the old man in 'The Home'--- though never figured out how/why he came to visit that character in the first place. (Must have missed it. I fell asleep and/or zoned out numerous times and had to rewind.)

4.5. Another great thriller with a heavy dose of inappropriate humor. Great series.
