5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have loved the Coming Home series by Harper Sloan from the beginning and she has not disappointed with her 3rd book. I didn’t think I would like Clayton’s story that much because he seemed so standoffish and unwillingly to let someone in. But in this book, you are opened up to a whole other Clayton who shows everything and just the care he has for Caroline from the first moment is intense and just what she needs. These two lost souls will finally find what they are looking for and realize that they are so much more. Harper Sloan’s ending to this book brings together a family who has struggled through tough times and flourished during the good times. And together they are that much stronger.

Caroline has been through some tough times. Her mother never wanted her and when she really needed her, turned her back on her. And her ex abused her for years until she was finally able to get out of the situation. She just wants one night of something good and when she sits down next to a tall, dark, sexy stranger she might have just found it.

Clayton has no idea that the woman he meets in the bar is about to change his world. He knows though that after their one night together he wants more, but not knowing who she is makes it hard to find her. Until she ends up at his family’s ranch and when he sees her he knows he won’t let her go.

Caroline is nervous to trust Clayton but at the same time knows he would never hurt her. As they navigate their relationship together they will be tested and have to come to terms with things that they thought they wanted and what they want now. Will they be able to make a new path together? Or will the past and old ideas jeopardize their future together?

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Cowboy Up is the third installment in the Coming Home series. I personally feel it has to be read in order to understand and appreciate each Davis story.

Cowboy Up is Clayton Davis story. He's the oldest Davis child and the most anti-relationship in the group. It's been a long time since he's thought about his own loneliness but a one night stand with an unknown woman has him questioning everything. He never planned on searching out the woman who gave him an amazing night of pleasure but if fate throws them together, he knows he can't walk away again.

Caroline hasn't been with anyone since she's gotten out of her abusive relationship. One night with a sexy cowboy has her feeling sexier than she thought possible and questioning her solitary life. Can the sexy cowboy bring out the bad in her?

This really was the perfect ending to this series. I loved seeing the sweet sexy side of Clay and him finding his HEA. I enjoying seeing the progression of the relationships of Maverick and Leighton and Tate and Quinn. Ms. Harper's knack for writing the sexy alpha has expanded to the sexy cowboy. Cowboy Up is syrupy sweet and brought rounds of tears to my eyes. So worth the read!

I have been waiting for Clay's story. I was so excited to read this. I was definitely not disappointed. Honestly I was not as sure about this series in the beginning, because I am not a fan of westerns in romance literature. However, that being said, I have loved every book in this series and this one was no different. This story was sweet and emotional and so beautiful. I can't wait for more of this series.

I love Harper Sloan! I have no idea why I was looking forward to this book so much. Maybe because Clayton's name reminds me of Blanche's brother from Golden Girls. The name not anything else, lol. This story was hands down my favorite of the series. You will not be disappointed

Cowboy Up by Harper Sloan is a good fit for readers looking for a heartfelt story about finding the courage to let go of past hurts and embrace the possibility of love, set in a small-town cowboy context.

Finally with the last book in the series we get my favorite Davis brother, Clay.

While he was the most quiet and reserved he was my favorite since book one and I couldn't wait to learn more about Clay. There is a sating about "still waters run deep" and so on and that is the case with Clay, At least I thought so.

I really enjoyed to learn even more about Clay's backstory and his crappy history plus his heartbreak with women.

I also loved Caroline who is pretty much the opposite of Clay and really brings him to life. She learns quick what buttons to push with him. She also had  less than pleasant history and still has troubles, Clay ever the gentleman is helping her out.

Clay really is the prefect mix of gentleman and bad boy in this book.

I really enjoyed this awesome blend of humor, steam and thrill. Also liked that we see the other familiar faces quite a bit, but without taking away form Clay and Caroline.

I rate this book a full 5★

4.5 cowboy stars

Took me a second to get into the flow of this one but once I did I was loving it. Clay is so freaking sweet he gave me a toothache but I also needed a cold glass of water for all his heat he was throwing too. I loved that this man wasted no time at all. He knew what he wanted and didn’t stop until he got it. Even though Caroline didn’t put up much of a fight and honestly I loved that she didn’t. She didn’t need to make him earn it because even a little unsure she knew he was worth it. She was sweet and shy but oh man could she put you in your place and throw some sass. I enjoyed how easy this relationship was. No crazy drama in that aspect. It was easy. Definitely my favorite of the whole series and Clay just might be my favorite of all of Harpers men. Definitely a must read if your a fan

3.5 stars.
I have a hard time with insta-love scenarios and this isn't exactly an insta-love but it's close enough to have gone down a star for me.
I enjoyed seeing all the other characters play a large role in this one too.
I would definitely recommend reading the series because it's good it's just this one fell a little flat for me due to my normal and reoccurring dislike of insta-love.

This was my favorite of the series.

Clayton and Caroline were a couple I could immediately get behind. These two had similar crappy childhoods and equally horrible luck at love, so it was destined (by Harper Sloan) for these two to find each other in a local bar and to have a one night stand that changes the course of their lives.

I normally don't like "love at first sight" type of books, but this one worked. Clayton confessed pretty quickly that he wasn't going to squander another chance with Caroline when he sees her again. And despite Caroline's fears when it comes to relationships, she quickly admitted that Clayton was the only one that made her feel safe. It was heartwarming to see two people who had been deadset against relationships break all their rules when fate puts the right person in front of them.

Harper Sloan ties up the Davis family with one hell of a book. This may have been Clayton and Caroline's book, but the Davis siblings were right there supporting their brother and getting his. There were moments between Mav and Clayton that will have you reaching for a kleenex, moments between Clayton and Quinn where you cringed at the same time you laughed. And when we get to that epilogue we discover the Davis siblings, despite having the horrible parents they had, know how to build a family and to love.

One of my top reads of 2017. A true treasure.

Fantastic book. What a great ending to this trilogy. This story focuses on Clay, the oldest sibling, and this is the one I have been waiting for the most. It was super sweet, hot to trot, and had suspense. It doesn't get better than that. The writing was amazing, I love revisiting old characters from other books in the trilogy. Highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.
