If you've been reading the Deep Ops series, then you'll look forward to this one because it's Wolfe's story. Wolfe is a real character, with his too-sweet lattes that he buys for everyone, his kitten in his pocket, and his brain that was scrambled by an explosion in Afghanistan.

Wolfe and Dana, a journalist loosely associated with Deep Ops, end up undercover at the same BDSM club. They're each doing their own investigations, with Dana searching for someone associated with her friend's disappearance. Wolfe is on a personal mission, also searching for someone. I don't want to go into their investigations in any more detail, as that will ruin the twist in the plot. Dana ends up in danger, and Wolfe is determined to protect her whether she wants his protection or not.

Dana and Wolfe have been dancing around their attraction to each other for a while, but Wolfe has put Dana in the friend zone. He doesn't expect to survive his personal mission. Dana is having none of it, and pushes for more.

There's lots of page-turning suspense, romance, a shoe-stealing alcoholic dog, those dreaded lattes from Wolfe's heartfelt POV, humor, familiar and new characters, and a hint of Agnus Force's story.

You loved Wolfe before, you'll love Wolfe and Dana.

I read an ARC, but my review is freely given.

Overall, this was a solid addition to the series. I've been a huge of Wolfe since the beginning and expected more to his storyline than delivered. I enjoyed seeing previous couples and the continuation of series focused plots. The next book is my most anticipated of the series!

I really enjoyed this book with Wolfe and Dana. Although there was a crazy person who was stalking them, this book still managed to have many lighthearted, quirky, funny, sweet, and romantic moments.

I also thought it was interesting how Wolfe and Dana's cases ended up having the point of intersection and gradually being revealed to be the same case. I knew it was going to happen, but didn't know how.

I really like the Team, including Roscoe and Kat. I have liked Wolfe's character from the beginning of the series. He makes each book that much more interesting. His pursuit of Rock in this book had a good amount of tension and suspense.

I was surprised at Dana. Knowing what she knew, and finding out about her friend, I never felt like she took enough precautions. I did enjoy that little twist at the end.

This book gives you a bit of everything. I like the narration. The narrator pulled me completely into the story and made me forget their was one person narrating all of the roles. I would definitely recommend this book as well as this series.

Wolfe and Dana's story was a roller coaster ride of adventure, romance, and suspense. You never knew when the enemy would pop up or if there was more than one enemy. Love the cohesiveness of the Deep Ops team members. Doing the work this group does demands and "all for one and one for all" approach, even though sometimes they have to be coaxed into it. Still in love with Roscoe and Kat, their scenes are always at the right moment and Rebecca truly gives them the right reactions to the situations that unfold.

3.75 - not as good as Hidden but better than Fallen. This is a great little series. I’m enjoying myself.

An action pact, steamy romance with a deadly psychopath out to end them at all costs. Dana is working hard to figure out what happened to her bestfriend, following any and all leads where ever they take her. Life and death situations won't deter her or convince her not to continue on, no matter how much Wolfe might wish otherwise.
Wolfe had been on the tale of his old team mate since he killed their entire team and stole the drugs they were supposed to dispose of. The ruthless psychopath will not stop until everyone Wolfe knows is used against him, which is why he refuses to get close to anyone. Those pesky feelings however can creep up on you no matter how much you wish they wouldn't. Steamy, action pact thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
