The first part of the story is incredibly boring, second part is really, really good. Not SUPER good, but just good enough to get this story to 3.5/5 for me. The nonsensical humor was getting on my nerves, but sometimes was a good tool for powerful imagery. Charactes are mostly flat and boring, but authour managed to make me care about them -a little-, due to how drasticaly their lives go downhill.

Tedious. Wild. Really fucking confusing??
Like I don’t get what this book offers of more except for the pianocktail bffr

The way that Alise girlbossed her way to the top and yet her man died. And so did she. And then her bestie. So really the murder of some slay librarians getting that bag were unnecessary
