A complicated “who dunnit“ meets Jack Reacher/James Bond. There are some possible triggers.

DNF after 100 pages.

i’m not familiar with this character (i realize he’s been a recurring character— i think— in another series) but i gathered that he’s always been conceited and narcissistic from reading some comments, and it didn’t really bother me at first.
but then i started the book and i really couldn’t force myself to keep going. i’m used to love-hating main characters, but this one was a miss for me. plus some of the things he said rubbed me the wrong way, and were a little bit problematic so i decided not to push this further.

interesting premise, but this isn’t for me.

Such a fun first book; was excited to find out that this is the first in a series. The main character is super full of himself and puts himself above everyone else, but something about the narration is irresistibly charming. The plot comes together unexpectedly. Would definitely recommend if you want to get sucked into a book for a few days.

The first note I took about this book was: Omg I love Win and I’ve missed him so much. When he just casually gets a helicopter because it’s faster.
