Beautiful story telling though it took me a while to be comfortable in the setting and all the characters. Quite a sad ending, in the end the characters are never fully able to understand one another fully, despite their deep love.

Didn't love this, I found the prose to be too whimsical.

I'm still not sure why everyone is so impressed with this book. I found the writing jagged and the lack of quotation marks frustrating. I had to force myself to finish this book just so I could cross it off my list.

I remember the movie being compelling but this book lost me. Didn’t finish.

Beautiful and engaging characters populate this sensory-laden novel. I almost gave up on it after the first quarter owing to some unbelievable and irritating dialogue, but stuck through and am glad I did. IMO Kip is the deepest and most interesting character. This novel left me contemplative, and yes, a bit weepy.

The audiobook narrator is not enjoyable at all.
