She talks too much
Contemplates too much
Repeats ideas often
And the whole book can be summed up in two sentences: women need to be earning money and having a closed room to be able to create, duh!

This is the only essay book I’ve attempted to read that has kept me captivated the entire time. My biggest takeaway is how grateful I am to a be a woman who writes in the time period I live in. The fact that live in a time where I have freedom to write and that the people around me celebrate that is an actual miracle when you put it in the context of history. It’s also a great lesson in my intentions and thought process behind writing. Don’t write for the sake of convincing, write for the sake of the situation, portray it as it is. The author’s mind is also androgynous, and it’s possible to write about women’s issues without writing so obviously as a woman, and you actually get your message across better. Very glad I read. Put a lot of things into words that I’ve thought about but couldn’t think of clearly.
