This is one of the most important works if one is to understand Leninism. His orthodox Marxism is nearly religious in character and you can see the intensity and sincerity of his revolutionary zeal. The libertarian communist conclusions of the book resonate with left-Marxist and anarchist tendencies which is interesting considering the character the Revolution took even pre-civil war.
