A bit boring honestly, personally this book didn’t do anything for me and I caught myself zoning out and not paying attention to it. Cute concept.

It took me several chapters before I finally started to like Britt-Marie. Then, it became very endearing.

"And what ever happens. Where ever she is. Everyone will know Britt-Marie was here."
I'm convinced that Fredrick Backman is slowly reaching the top of my FAVORITES. He has a way with words (and yes, I know it's not originally English, but it's still good) that make you stop and think.
Britt-marie is a grumpy, clean-freak, perfectinist who leaves her cheating husband to make it on her own. She's a little socially awkward, which is, once again, a character that annoys you into loving her.
Britt-marie Was Here is a light-hearted, quirky novel, that's easy to read. Great character and plot development. It's your typical heartwarming story, with the main character outside of their comfort zone, yet somehow manages to find themselves. Needless to say, I still enjoyed it, especially the philosophical-life-nuggets hidden between the chapters.
