The book is focused on Jude, the main character and not on anyone else, even the love interest. It makes you hate certain characters and i think one of the main themes here is family, no matter how messy and disfunctional they are. I find that the relationship between Jude and cardan not fleshed out enough, I just can't fully wrap my head around it, it needed more writing and working, u know? Regardles, the writing style is great and easy to read.
