Took a long time to read this short play, just because I initially wasn't in the right mood to read it. It's ok. I think someone who's watched wrestling and the drama and spectacle of it would enjoy it more than I did.

It’s possible that the reason I didn’t live this play as much as many others was due to the fact that I am not nearly as avid a pro-wrestling fan as it seems that this play was made for, but despite this fact I found that “The Elaborate Entrance” top be underwhelming and the proposed metaphor to be too heavy-handed to enjoy.

But probably more like 3.75.

This play surprised me. It was given to me by a friend and I'm very glad I checked it out- it's not something I would have ever picked up to read on my own.

Mace is clearly the best character in the whole thing- I love his monologues so much. He's a very sympathetic character. EKO is so sleazy in such a perfect way.

This is a play I would read again and would love to discuss with people.
