Why so many nicknames?

This book has so much potential but I'm so over the damn nicknames. You've got T, JT, G...honestly??? Come on. I'm exhausted and I'm barely on page 30.

Move over BTU crew, U of J is in the house.

Alley Ciz came out for domination on the gridiron with this new series!

As one should come to expect from this author, the cast of characters being introduced in the U of J series is amazing. Of course, the hero and heroine are amazing within their own right, but the secondary characters are a complete touchdown. In my honest opinion, this crew is better than the Coven from the BTU series. Be prepared for snark, inside jokes, graphics tees, and plenty of steam.

Beware, this book ends on a cliffhanger, and it's a nail biter. But worth it.

This is one book you need to one click RFN.

I’ve finished this book within 2 days, yeah, but that’s doesn’t necessarily mean it was great. In the beginning most of the time I was confused about every person who appeared because the female protagonist always referred to them only with their first letter of the persons first name. It’s been so frustrating sometimes because you didn’t even know who she was talking about. Spoiler alert, there are a lot of names who start with the same letter...
But there are also a lot of cute scenes and some who I loved reading about. Mason is actually a pretty good guy even when he doesn’t seem like it, yeah usually storyline and it wasn’t bad. I even like him, but it’s not like he really caught me. Kayla is a strong and witty female which I love, but I didn’t feel a connection again. Both of them are supposed to be relatable, unique and great characters you should adore. I couldn’t tho and I can’t even say why, there was just missing a special „vibe“. Kayla also had so many secrets and sometimes I didn’t even understand her and couldn’t relate because not much hot explained so how am I supposed to relate? Around 80% I just wanted to get it over with, their feelings developed so fast I’m surprised i didn’t get whiplash. They went from „who’s that“ to „dedicated relationship“ in two seconds.

Let’s talk about the ending and that „plottwist“. It was just too much drama and it was ridiculous. What was he even mad about? Something she did 5 years ago? Did he try to talk to her like a normal human being? Nah, just knock on her door like a maniac and break up. His behavior is not understandable. Yeah she might kept secrets but he acts like a 5 year old who has to eat his vegetables.

Okay, I’ll stop now. I actually think this book was okay, besides a few issues, I couldn’t name all, but I mentioned the big ones and that ending. Maybe I’m just a bit overreacting because I’m disappointed so many people gave 5 stars and I’m totally let down after I finished it and can’t agree at all. Means I might be fired up since I put it down like 5 minutes ago. Maybe I’ll see it differently when I slept a night over it, which I doubt.
Side note: not sure if I should give 2 or 3 stars.

I loved this book until the end. Everything about Mason was swoon worthy, and I loved the found family trope, but there are a lot of secrets and miscommunications involved in the plot which I did not love as much. The cliffhanger ending is just miscommunication, and could be resolved in a single additional chapter or even a couple of pages. I don’t think this should be a series to be honest, because I felt like mostly everything was already resolved between Mason and Kay. Overall, I would have been much happier if the book finished on a resolved note and the next book in the series focused on a different couple (like Quinn and CK).

I need book 2!

What the heck was that ending!?!?!?!? Grrrrrrr!!!!! So this books is absolutely amazing but that ending has me chucking my kindle access the room!

This is another amazing sports romance from Alley Ciz, and I assume there is a HEA coming at some point, but clearly you are going to make us wait for it! I love the whole crew of friends in this book, on both sides. They are fricking awesome!

Kay and Mason are absolutely adorable! I love their dynamic together.

I really need to know how this story is going to play out!

Mason Nova is known around campus as Casanova. All the guys want to be him and all of the ladies are looking for his attention. Kayla is trying to hide from her past and stay out of the spotlight. When Kayla catches Mason's eye he knows he's in trouble since his focus needs to be on football and not a girl he can not get out of his head. Kayla is immune to Mason's Casanova ways which lights a fire under his cleats to prove to her that he can be more than the campus playboy.

Looking to Score is the beginning of the new #UofJ series from Alley Ciz. The beginning of this book is a little chaotic and confusing as there are a lot of characters and information thrown at you but then the book starts to settle down and becomes very enjoyable. The usual banter between the characters that Alley Ciz creates and is known for is present, puts a smile on your face and makes you want to be part of the crew. The cliffhanger at the end of this book will have you begging for the second book right away. Well played Ms. Ciz! I will now be going to fill my craving for Skittles while waiting for October to get here with Game Changer (#UofJ Book 2)!

"Damn, Smalls." G walks in carrying the four pizzas I ordered. "Did you invite the Ninja Turtles over and forget to tell us?"

It's good, but I'm halfway in the first book (there are 3) and the couple are already together, just not mt cup of tea. If this don't bother you, go for it! I'm just really annoying with my book preferences
