Don’t Read If: you want a fast paced story(this is more of a slow burn), you easily get confused with a large cast of characters, if you’re sensitive to self harm, if you find most mysteries predictable.
Graphic: Mental illness, Self harm, Toxic relationship, and Murder
Moderate: Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Pedophilia, Physical abuse, Self harm, and Pregnancy

Amaya finds herself getting invited to her ex-best friend (Kaavi) wedding and her ex-boyfriend in her hometown which she hasn't been back to in years. Once Amaya sees this, she is determined to make sure that this wedding never happens.
I had no clue what to expect going into this one, but it was actually a lot of fun. I loved the gossip that is bound to happen and the higher-class drama. Amaya was actually a very interesting character to follow and the different interviews added another layer to the story.
In the end, I did have the reveals mostly figured out around the 70% mark, so that did affect my overall rating. But it was still a very entertaining read.
Graphic: Toxic relationship
Moderate: Domestic abuse and Emotional abuse

Amaya is invited to the wedding of her best friend who she hasn't spoken to in 5 years, but on the day of the wedding, the bride goes missing and all signs point to Amaya as the culprit. Told in Amaya's point of view, and in interview excerpts, we understand that there's a lot more going on with this wedding and all the people involved than what is visible.
I loved that book, it's set mainly in Sri Lanka, although our main character has been living in the US for quite some time when the story takes place, so her point of view is one of an almost-outsider.
I loved how many characters were involved in the story, which made the plot a lot more intricate and hard to guess. The intrigue completely caught me by surprise, but looking back on it, a lot of hints were given throughout the novel, which is what I find the most satisfying thing about thrillers (when they have bested me).
Moderate: Domestic abuse
