Have read better, and read worse. I realized about 10 minutes into this book that I really hate this trope of playing the field, which ended up being perfect for a reading challenge I’m trying to complete this year.
On top of that, I was NOT a fan of the narrator. Her attempt at a British accent was abhorrent. I honestly almost stopped the book for that reason alone. I really don’t even know if she attempted a Montana accent because all of her “voices” just blended together. I personally find it really hard to listen to narrators who struggle with performing their counterparts’ voice (like a female narrating a male’s voice the same as she would a female’s). It just rarely works for me. I guess I need a bit more performance from my preferred narrators.
Anyway, this book filled its purpose in filling a “least favorite trope” spot in my challenge. Otherwise, I probably would have DNF’d it.

Just wasn't for me 3 chapters in and I just couldn't do it. Sorry :( Maybe I will try again another time.

Not gonna lie triangles and in this case squares are not my normal thing, but this one was written so well that I truly loved Whitney's story. She was a strong confident woman that was career driven, focused and went after what she wants. All of these things and the way everything unfolded kept me reading late into the night. I had to see how it all ended and I was not disappointed.

Highly recommend picking this one up and getting a little taste of this hot cooking show.
