In this book we are introduced to Sheridan, a single, grade school teacher and Beck, a stubborn and rude single father to an adorable little girl named English. Hargrove takes us on a journey of Sheridan experiencing everything from hate, to love, to heartbreak in For the Love of English. Beck and Sheridan get married in a foolhardy effort to try and keep English's mother from gaining custody of her and Sheridan can't even stand Beck, but she does love English. There were moments where I had tears in my eyes, was laughing, or was fanning myself from steamy scenes. A well written novel with well developed characters.

| Surprisingly I like this book thanks to English. She is such a cutie. This is my first read by Miss Hargrove. And I do like it. She can writes such a adorable curse words.
Sheridan is a young woman working as kindergarten teacher. One of her student which is adorable 6 years old English. was in her class. English father, Beck is a sexy hot single father. But Beck is very very rude and stiff to Sheridan with no appearance reason. Just because he is rude. When unexpected circumstance crash into Beck world, he needs Sheridan to married him.
It is a cliche plot. But on For the Love of English, the writing is so engaging especially with a dialog that belongs to Kids Say the Darnest Things, it elevate the book into sweet cute.
I just feel the story is tad too long dragging toward 60% of the book with unnecessary drama about English being taken by her biological mother. But I do not feel bored thanks again to English cuteness.

I enjoyed this book, but it was slow in some parts. It was a good read and was glad I received this ARC. It was a fun and enjoyable read. I like the characters, but not so much Sheridan. I don't know, I believe she just over analyzed everything.

LOVED this story. English is beyond adorable.
This book had me laughing out loud so many times, but it wasn't just humor. The story really sucks you in, and you feel like you are going through everything that Sheridan and Beck are.

This was my first A.M. Hargrove and I didn't take to her style of writing. The book dragged on and on. Only redeeming quality were the sex scenes. Even though the book is POV from each of the MCs, it was heavy on the female side. I would have preferred more of a balance between the two. They go from enemies-to-something-to-married-to-hot sex scenes-to-enemies-to-partners-to-lovers-to-HEA. It was a whirlwind to say the least.

Three and a half stars.
What do you do when the asshat father of your favourite six-year old pupil asks you to marry him so that he can keep his daughter?
This had everything I lurve: cute moppets; single dad; potty mouthed heroine; marriage of convenience; and enemies to lovers, and yet ... I just didn't feel like it quite worked for me. Maybe I had trouble imagining a first grade teacher who swears like a trouper - those (generally) women are usually all sweetness and light 24/7 - because we all slip at the worst moment. Also Sheridan is soooo potty-mouthed. I swear but sheesh not like that and not in front of relative strangers. Beckley Bridges (yep, dumbass name too) became a father whilst still in college, yet he got a great job which requires him to leave his daughter for days or weeks at a time. Despite that, and the strictures that having a young daughter has on a single-parent, he seems to be very worldly wise for a man of his age.
Also, when the mother of Beck's daughter wants her back, why does it have to be because she's after money? That's a bit hackneyed and hating on other women.
So, I liked it quite a lot but I didn't love it.
